Harlan Atkinson. Services will be held Tuesday at 2pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church for Harlan Atkinson, 22. Rev. C.J. Jeffery will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery under the direction of Dyer Funeral Home. Mr. Atkinson died Saturday in the local hospital. His residence was 603 North Ohio. Survivors include his mother, Rosia Lee Williamson, Okmulgee, his father, Harold Atkinson, Tulsa, three brothers How, Rodney, and Roger Okmulgee, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Montgomery, Okmulgee.
Randy Fuller. Mr. Fuller died May 16,1983 in a Tulsa hospital. He was born August 13, 1958 in Bay City Tex. He was employed by the Fuller Mud Co. in Okmulgee from Texas in 1964 and attended and graduated from Okmulgee public schools. He attended Texas Bible College and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fuller Okmulgee, his wife, Mrs. Anna Fuller, Okmulgee, two sons, Jason and Randall Fuller, and one daughter, April Fuller, all of Okmulgee, two sisters, Patty Hennigan and Sharron Redman, Okmulgee, one brother, Ricky Fuller, Okmulgee and his grandmother, Mrs. H.M Fuller, Okmulgee. Funeral services for Randy Gene Fuller, 25, will be conducted at 2pm Friday May 18 at The United Pentecostal Church. Rev Preston Branum and Rev Billy Hale will officiate. Interment will be in the Okmulgee cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Wise cClendon Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Randy Parker, George LeGrand, Grey Stacy, Eddie Raley Jr., and Rick Edgeman.
David Lee Perry. Mr Perry, 35, of Dallas Texas, a former resident of Okmulgee, died on April 15, 1993 in Dallas. He was born February 4 1958 to Bueford Perry and Doretha (Moore) Perry, who survive him. Other survivors include two brothers, Bueford Perry Jr., and Winford Leon Perry, both of Dallas Texas. Two sisters, Debra Louise Perry of Dallas and Ronna Perry of Tulsa, his maternal grandmother, Alice Thornton, and his paternal grandmother, Joecilia Davis, both of Okmulgee. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 24, 1993 in St Matthew Baptist Church as 11am, with Elder Wesley Gamble officiating. Interment will in Woodlawn Cemetery, Okmulgee under the direction of House of Winn Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed.
Beverly Denise (Susie) Love. Susie Love, 36, former Okmulgee resident, died May 2, 1994 in Eulese Texas. She was born November 23, 1957 in Okmulgee High School.
Her father Joe Love preceded her in the death. Survivors include two sons, Anthony Andres of Okmulgee and Kerry include two sons, Andres of Euless; two daughters LaKesha and Latrina Montgomery, both of Euless; mother, Eddie Cowans both from Euless; mother, Essie Cowans of Okmulgee; stepfather Johnny Cowans of Okmulgee, and six brothers. Augusta of Oklahoma City, Earl Ray of Leesville, La, Clabon of Okmulgee. Joe Earl of Columbia, SC, Kary Tulsa and Otis Larry of Tulsa, and Otis of Spencer, Okla. and seven sisters; Jolla Cleo, Wendal Ramons, and Saron. Wendel, Ramons, and Sharon, all of Okmulgee; Ola Mae of Oklahoma City and Dorothy of Ingleglework, California, and one granddaughter. Viewing is scheduled for Friday from 10am until 7pm at Dyer Funeral Home Chapel. A service in memory and celebration of the life of Ms. Love is scheduled for 2 pm on Saturday.
Virginia Ann Meek. Virginia Meek, age 31, died in Okmulgee Tuesday, August 28, 1990. She was born September 7, 1958 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Ms. Meek was a graduate from Okmulgee High School in 1976 and she received an Associate Degree in Accounting from O.S.U. Tech. For the past 11 years she has been a bookkeeper at Middleton at Dossy. Her mother, Myrtle Meek of Okmulgee, and two brothers survive her: Joe Meek of Okmulgee and Jim Meek of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Services will be Thursday, August 30th in Buchanan Memorial Chapel at 10am with Rev. Leo Guthrie officiating; Interment will be in Okmulgee Cemetery, under the direction of McClendon Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be: Row Waelder, Daren Hamon, Jim Couch, Wayne Middleton, Dennis Dossey and O.L. Brewer.
Ed Montgomery. Services are scheduled for 11a, /Thursday, January 26 at the Macdenoina Baptist Church Edgar Allen (Post) Montgomery, 61 with the Reverend C.J. Jeffery officiating. Final rites will follow the service at the Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dyer Funeral Home. He was born November 11, 1927 and die January 19 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. He was a long time Okmulgee and was a retired employee of Northern Railroad, where he worked for 41 years. Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Montgomery, of the home; one son, Edgar Allen Montgomery Jr., of Okmulgee: three daughters, Joyce Montgomery of Okmulgee, Pamela McGee of Okmulgee and Valerie Montgomery of Okmulgee: three brothers, C.B. Montgomery of Morris, Parnell and Samuel Montgomery of Okmulgee; two sisters. Rosia Atkinson of Okmulgee and Gerri Lee Outley and six grandchildren.
Myra Sloan. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am at the Northwest Baptist Church for Myra Sloan, 2. Baptist Church for Myra Sloan, Rev Earl Tottress Past will officiate interment will be in Northwest under the direction of Dyer Funeral Home. Miss Sloan died December 26 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born Feb 5, 1958 in Okmulgee. At the time of her death, her death, she was a student at the University Oklahoma. Survivors included her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sloan of the home: al brother Walter A. Sloan Sapulpa, four sisters Barbara Battles, Okmulgee Sharon Davis, Heidelberg Germany, Carolyn Walton Tulsa, and Pamela Sloan at the home maternal grandmother Mrs. Odessa Coleman, Okmulgee.
Kevin Dale Tiger. Funeral services for Kevin Dale Tiger, 23, will be held at 10:00am. Monday in the Cantrell Ivory Chapel with the Rev. W. Eugene Kay officiating.
Interment will be in the Duck Creek Cemetery at Liberty-Mounds under direction of the Cantrell Funeral Home. Mr. Tiger, who was born January 20, 1958 at Claremore, died in a car wreck in Okmulgee, on January 15th. He was an oilfield worker and resided at 921 South Belmont. He moved to Okmulgee from Bixby in1972 and graduated from Okmulgee High School He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his mother Marie Harvey, Okmulgee his father Andrew Tiger, Mounds, two brothers, Monty Tiger, Mounds and Brian Tiger, Okmulgee, Willie Ward, Bixby, his paternal grandmother, Irene Compton, Concord, California. Pallbearers will be Devin Henson, Ernie Furer, Carl Peterman, Don Ellison, Jerry Smith, and Jeff Pease.
Wallace Brent (“Hoppy”) Yeager. Wallace Yeager, 35, a resident of Morris, died Thursday, May 20, 1993 following a sudden illness. He was born on March 19, 1958 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He had been an employee at OSU/Okmulgee for the past three years in the vending department. Mr. Yeager was a member of the New Hope Church and was an evangelist in the Pentecostal faith for the past nine years. Survivors include his mother, Marie McNac of Morris; stepfather Paul McNac of Okemah; one son E. L. Yeager; two brothers Jim McNac and Gerald Allen McNac both from Morris; two sisters Paula Renea McNac of Wewoka and Marla Danell MacNac of Morris five nieces and two nephews. A wake service will be held in the Chapel of the Kelley Funeral Home Saturday, May 22, 1993 at 7pm and wake service will be held on Sunday May 23, beginning at 6pm in the New Hope Chapel. Funeral service for Mr. Yeager will be held on Monday, May 24, 1993 at 2pm, service will follow on Monday in the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Kelley Funeral Home.
Samuel Johnathan (Sammy) Simmers. Sammy Simmers, 36, a resident of Okmulgee, died Thursday, July 20, 1995 at his residence. He was born Friday, September 1958, in San Francisco, California to Abraham and Nevada (William) Simmers.
Attended Oakdale School and graduated from Sequoyah Indian School in 1976. He worked word as a landscaper and was a member of the Newtown Methodist Church. Survivors include his mother, Nevada Simmers of Okmulgee, one brother, Abram Simmers of Tulsa; two sisters, Abilene Simmers for Tulsa and Lois Hicks of Okmulgee. His father, Abraham Simmers, preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2pm in the Miller Family Cemetery west of Okmulgee with Rev. Sammy Chupco officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kelley Funeral Home. A wake service will be held Friday evening from 7pm until 9pm.
